Rising to Good Health

The City's wellness program, Rising to Good Health, provides a pathway for all staff to pursue a healthy lifestyle. The program is designed to promote and improve health and well-being in the lives of City employees and their families through health education and wellness interventions aimed at  fostering healthy lifestyles.

As a City of Albuquerque employee, you have access to a variety of health and wellness resources that can help you stay healthy and happy all year round:

  • The Annual Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is a tool designed to identify your health risks and avenues of prevention.
  • Seasonal health fairs held each quarter feature free health screenings and a wealth of information.
  • Flu Shots are available to staff every fall.
  • Tobacco cessation resources to help you kick the habit for good.
  • Online wellness newsletters offer helpful health and wellness information.
  • Wellness workshops explore nutrition, lifestyle, exercise and other health related topics.
  • Health-E-Flicks are videos on a variety of wellness related topics.
  • Annual on-site mammography screenings to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease in women.
