In Observance of Memorial Day

The Albuquerque Animal Welfare Eastside and Westside shelters will be closed on Sunday, May 27, and Monday, May 28, except for the intake desk and reclaims which will be open both days. Credit cards will not be accepted for reclaims on those two days. The shelters will resume services on Tuesday, May 29.

Lucky Paws adoption center located in Coronado Mall near Kohl’s will be open to the public from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, and Monday, May 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Animal Receiving: 7 days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Citizens must be residents of Albuquerque or Bernalillo County and must present IDs to surrender animals.

    Westside Animal Welfare

    Animal Reclaiming: 7 days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    • Citizens must have pets compliant with all City requirements and bring proof of ownership to reclaim.
    • Credit cards will not be accepted after regular shelter business hours.

    Animal Receiving: 7 days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
